Green Goddess Smoothie

Green smoothies can be delicious and don't have to taste like 'liquid salad' as my husband likes to call them. Adding greens to your smoothie is a great way to increase your green intake. Greens help strengthen the blood and respiratory system. 

 

 

Green Smoothie - Beginners Version Recipe:

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 avocado 

  • 1/2 cup almond milk 

  • Pinch of vanilla powder (or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract)

  • 1 tsp maca powder

  • 1 tsp peanut butter

  • handful of spinach

  • Toppings (optional)- add your favourite toppings- nuts, raspberries, coconut flakes, granola... 

Directions:

 

Place all the ingredients in the blender until smooth, poor to a bowl/glass and add your toppings.

 

Green Smoothie - Advanced Recipe:

 

 

 

  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower florets

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango cubes

  • 3/4 cup coconut water

  • 1/2 tsp spirolina powder

  • 1 tsp hemp seeds

  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder (optional)

  • 1/2 avocado 

  • handful of spinach

  • 1 pitted date (optional)

  • Toppings (optional)- add your favourite toppings- nuts, raspberries, coconut flakes, granola... 

Directions:

 

Place all the ingredients in the blender until smooth, poor to a bowl/glass and add your toppings.
