I feel very proud of myself for making up this recipe while 'wearing' my 3-months old baby ;) Our days have become full in all the best ways since Maya was born and it's been challenging to find time to cook (something I love doing). But few months in and we've figured out some strategies to get things done while caring for Maya. Has it been perfect? No... But it has been so sweet to simply appreciate those times when I manage to pull off a delicious dinner...

They say that when a baby is born, so is a mother. The transition to motherhood is one of the biggest transitions a woman can go through in life. For some women this transition is already noticeable in pregnancy (or even earlier) and for some later on - when they meet their baby for the first time. Every woman’s experience is different. I started experiencing this transition from the final trimester of my pregnancy, through labor and finally when I welcomed...

This post is a part of blog post series in which I'm answering questions you guys have sent me until I head out on maternity leave later this summer.

Ready for the second question?

Let’s dig in!

How can I stop the urge to eat everything in sight?

This is a question I get asked quite often…

And I soooo get it! I use to think that food has control over me and that my problem is that I just don’t have enough willpower. My solution was restriction - I didn’t allow...

This post is a part of blog post series in which I'm answering questions you guys have sent me from now until I head out on maternity leave later this summer.

Ready for the first one?

Let's dive in: How to eat intuitively in a relationship?

I love this question! It’s definitely a topic that often comes up with clients who start their intuitive eating journey with me. Whether you are new to intuitive eating or you’re at it for a while now, ‘sharing’ this journ...

As I'v recently discovered my iron levels aren't great (hello third trimester!) I've decided to be more intentional and planned around making sure I'm getting enough iron in my diet (let me know if you're interested knowing more about what I did). These 'falafel' balls are rich in iron as they contain lentils and almonds (both high in iron).

Why I love this recipe...?

It's a super simple quick recipe (just 6 ingredients + seasoning!)

AND - you can ea...

Butternut squash is one of those vegetables that are always on my shopping list! Its long shelf life makes it very convenient to have at home for those days you find yourself with an empty fridge and have no time or your'e too tired to go to the supermarket. As part of my self care I love having my few go-to 'pantry meals' and this soup definitely meets the requirements - quick, easy to make and oh so delicious!

Here's the recipe: (serves 4-5)

I've been wanting to share this recipe with you guys for so long, it's definitely one of my favourite dishes!

This colourful, nutrient rich, hearty ratatouille served in a bowl with steaming rice is just the perfect comfort dish to cozy up with on a rainy winter day.

I don't always follow this exact recipe, you can easily adapt it to what's in season.

Ingredients (for 6-8 servings):

  • 4 medium size aubergines (cut to large cubes)

  • 2 red onions (f...

Did you ever experience eating something and only moments after realizing it? Perhaps you weren’t even hungry; you only reached out to the cookie jar just because it was right next to you...

So often we talk about what we eat but not about how we eat.

Mindful eating roots back to Buddhist Teachings. This is the practice of connecting us to the experience of eating. Rather than stuffing food to our mouths, when we are working on the computer, watching TV or wh...
